¿Nine Geese?
When we think of powerful animals that can be part of a symbol of a group of people that identify with the characteristics of those animals, we usually think of hawks, lions, horses or even mythical dragons. For example, the tiger has its symbolism: courage, speed, strength; or the eagle: predatory, strong, independent, of high flights, and so on we find them in heraldry since the beginning of humanity and in different civilizations. But a goose?
The goose has its own and that is why we have selected it as our symbol, a symbol that guides us in our cyber battles in the information superhighway.
To start, they are very loyal to each other, if a member of their flock descends injured, another from the group goes down to support him. They are also distinguished by their courage. They have a harmonious flight and an incredible sense of direction. Since they fly great distances they are, as expected, very strong animals. To be able to fly with twelve kilograms at sixty-five kilometers per hour, for three thousand kilometers of travel at roughly the height of Mount Everest, where the air is not very dense, is without a doubt admirable!
They work as a team in their flocks to achieve their migration to warmer places. They are determined and very communicative. They are so united that, in Chinese culture, the symbol of a solitary goose is a symbol of the loss of a relative or companion, loneliness. The goose can live almost anywhere, it is very adaptable, which makes it even stronger within nature. Did you know they are monogamous? Something truly rare in the animal world. As pets or in farms they have proven to be excellent company and great guardians.
